GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) upgrades increase the legal weight your vehicle can carry, making them essential for towing, touring, or carrying constant loads. State Compliance GVM Upgrade

Registered vehicles undergoing a GVM upgrade must be presented to an Authorised Inspection Station for modification approval. To proceed, the vehicle must be in roadworthy condition. Our pricing covers the entire process, including the modification application, vehicle inspection, and approval permit.

Note: The Western Australian government has indicated they will allow GCM upgrades post-rego in the future but there is currently no date for this change. Lovells are working closely with the Department of Transport on this approval.

Caster Correction

When the Landcruiser 79 suspension is lifted, the change in suspension geometry causes the front differential to rotate forward relative to the chassis. This reduces the caster angle. A loss of caster results in vague steering, poor directional stability, and increased wandering at speed. Caster correction helps restore proper geometry to maintain safe and predictable handling.

Caster Correction Offset Bushes

The Lovells GVM Upgrade kit includes offset bushes, which press into the factory radius arms and restore some of the lost caster from the suspension lift.

Roadsafe Radius Arms with Built In Caster Correction

Roadsafe replacement radius arms are designed with revised geometry to correct the caster as part of the arm's construction. These are stronger than the factory arms, include hybrid rubber bushings with a lifetime warranty and are the best option for optimal alignment and durability.

Lovells Steering Damper - Return to Centre

The Lovells Return to Centre Steering Damper is designed to enhance steering control and reduce fatigue, particularly after a suspension lift, and if fitting larger tyres. Featuring a built-in coil spring, it automatically returns the steering to centre after cornering or off-road deflections, improving directional stability.

Airbag Man Air Suspension Helper Kit

The Air Suspension Helper Kit assists by eliminating spring sag when loaded, improving ride comfort, and boosting towing and hauling stability. Adjustable air pressure ensures optimal handling, braking, and ground clearance.

Airbag Man - Manual Control

Our Manual option simply refers to the inflation and these have two tyre style valves fitted near your trailer hitch for adjusting pressure.

Airbag Man - Onboard Control

Our Onboard Control option simply refers to the inflation and these have a dual digital gauge and dual inflation/deflation pedals. We can only offer this system to those choosing one of our drawer systems as well as our electrical system with onboard compressor. The drawers are required for mounting the gauge and pedals and the compressor drives the onboard inflation.
