The Landcruiser 300 3805kg GVM Upgrade is our most popular option for most travellers. This upgrade also includes an increase in GCM for both federal (pre rego) and state compliance upgrades. This upgrade will increase the ride height of the vehicle by approximately 50mm, depending on vehicle spec level and constant load.

  • Toyota GVM 3280kg » Lovells GVM 3805kg
  • Toyota GCM 6750kg » Lovells GCM 7300kg
  • Toyota Front Axle 1630kg » Lovells Front Axle Rating 1700kg

Lovells 4205kg Platinum Series

Lovells 4205kg Platinum Series

The Landcruiser 300 4205kg GVM Upgrade is for those travelling with larger vans and heavier loads. The suspension does a superb job of carrying these increased loads, but travellers can expect a stiffer ride when unladen. This upgrade also includes an increase in GCM for both federal (pre rego) and state compliance upgrades. This upgrade will increase the ride height of the vehicle by approximately 50mm, depending on vehicle spec level and constant load.

  • Toyota GVM 3280kg » Lovells GVM 4205kg
  • Toyota GCM 6750kg » Lovells GCM 7700kg
  • Toyota Front Axle 1630kg » Lovells Front Axle 1800kg
  • Toyota Rear Axle 1930kg » Lovells Rear Axle 2405kg

Note:

  • Fitted tyres must have a minimum load rating of 116 & speed rating of R. If you would like us to organise new tyres for you at the time of suspension upgrade, please ask.
ADR Compliance

ADR Compliance

As part of the GVM upgrade process on the LandCruiser 300, the vehicle’s classification changes from MC (passenger vehicle) to NB1 (light goods vehicle), which introduces new ADR requirements. One of these is the fitment of ADR compliant Category 6 side indicators to the front guards. Additionally, raising the vehicle by 50mm causes the factory reverse lights to exceed the maximum allowable height under ADR regulations. To maintain compliance, a single reverse light is installed at the rear bumper, and the factory reverse lights are covered.

Registered vehicles undergoing a GVM upgrade must be presented to an Authorised Inspection Station for modification approval. To proceed, the vehicle must be in roadworthy condition. Our pricing covers the entire process, including the modification application, vehicle inspection, and approval permit.

GVM Compliance Type
Pre-Rego: Federal Approval

Pre-Rego: Federal Approval

Federal compliance, or ‘pre-rego’, applies to brand new vehicles that have never been registered. When a GVM upgrade is completed under federal approval, the vehicle is modified prior to first registration and certified through the Commonwealth system. The updated specifications are recorded in ROVER (the Department of Infrastructure’s online vehicle certification system), and a Second Stage of Manufacture (SSM) approval is issued.

An SVI (Secure Vehicle Identifier) plate is then affixed to the vehicle by the approved SSM, identifying the new GVM and revised vehicle details. The vehicle is first registered at the upgraded GVM, and that higher rating becomes the vehicle’s recognised compliance specification nationwide.

Post-Rego: State Compliance

Post-Rego: State Compliance

State compliance, or ‘post-rego’, applies to vehicles that are already licensed. In Western Australia, GVM upgrades are processed under a WA Department of Transport Type Approval and issued as a modification approval once the vehicle has been inspected and passed.

The vehicle must be presented to an Authorised Inspection Station in roadworthy condition. The approval recognises the revised GVM, and where applicable, a revised GCM in line with the approval documentation. BTC revisions are not available under post-registration approval.

Unlike federal (pre-rego) upgrades, state-approved GVM increases are recorded as a modification against the vehicle rather than changing the original Commonwealth compliance plate details.

Diff Drop Kit
Roadsafe Diff Drop Kit

Roadsafe Diff Drop Kit

The Roadsafe diff drop kit for the Landcruiser 300 lowers the front differential to reduce CV joint angles after the suspension lift. By bringing the driveline geometry closer to factory spec, it helps minimise CV wear, vibration, and the risk of premature failure.

Adjustable Panhard Rod
Roadsafe

Roadsafe

A Panhard rod is a suspension link that provides lateral location of the axle. One end attaches to the vehicle and the other end attaches to the axle and with the ~50mm lift of a GVM upgrade the axle moves slightly to the left. An adjustable Panhard rod allows us to correct the suspension to OE alignment which can improve tyre wear and handling.

Airbags
Airbag Man Coil Spring Helper Kit

Airbag Man Coil Spring Helper Kit

A coil spring mounted airbag designed to support existing rear springs under load. The bag sits inside the coil spring within a protective sleeve and is run at low pressure when unladen, increasing only as load demands. Used correctly, it helps maintain ride height and vehicle attitude when towing or carrying weight, supporting stable steering, braking and overall balance.

Airbag Manual Controls

Airbag Manual Controls

Our Manual option simply refers to the inflation and these have two tyre style valves fitted near your trailer hitch for adjusting pressure.

Airbag Man On Board Controls

Airbag Man On Board Controls

Our onboard control system allows in cab adjustment of airbag pressure through a dual digital gauge with independent inflation and deflation paddles. It requires a suitable, secure mounting location for the controls and an onboard compressor to supply air. In our builds, the drawer system provides the most practical and protected install position, integrated with the vehicle’s electrical system for reliable operation.
