Long Range Fuel Tank
The LandCruiser 200 comes standard from the factory with two fuel tanks: a 93L main tank and a 45L secondary tank, providing a total fuel capacity of 138L. These two tanks operate as a single system when it comes to filling and fuel level monitoring via the gauge and trip computer. While this may be adequate for everyday driving, it can quickly become a limiting factor when towing, touring remotely, or covering long distances between fuel stops. A long range tank is one of the most practical upgrades for the LC200, increasing fuel capacity and driving range without the need for jerry cans or frequent refuelling.
ARB Poly 180L
The ARB poly tank replaces the factory sub tank and increases sub tank capacity to 185L, bringing total fuel capacity to 278L. It reuses the factory fuel sender from the original sub tank, so no additional fuel gauge setup is required.
The spare wheel must be relocated to a rear wheel carrier or another suitable spare wheel solution. As with most long range tanks, the fuel gauge will remain on full for longer than standard, and the trip computer’s distance-to-empty reading will no longer be accurate. This is expected behaviour with the increased fuel capacity.
The Long Ranger 122L Fuel + 55L Water Tank
This option replaces the factory sub tank with a combined steel fuel and water tank mounted in place of the spare wheel. The tank is split into 122L of fuel storage and 55L of water storage, increasing total fuel capacity from the factory 138L to 215L while adding useful onboard water capacity for touring.
The factory sub tank is removed, and its sender unit is transferred into the new tank so the system continues to work with the factory fuel gauge. As the tank occupies the spare wheel location, the spare must be relocated to a rear wheel carrier or another suitable spare wheel solution.
As with most long range tanks, the fuel gauge will remain on full for longer than standard, and the trip computer’s distance-to-empty reading will no longer be accurate. This is expected behaviour with the increased fuel capacity.
Rear Wheel Carrier
Outback Accessories
Manufactured in Western Australia from high quality Australian steel, the Outback Accessories rear bar is a heavy duty replacement for the factory bumper on the Landcruiser 200. Designed to accept one or two swing away arms, the bar can be configured with dual wheel carriers, jerry can holders, or a combination of both. It offers excellent rear protection, improved departure angle thanks to its tapered wing design, and high lift jack points positioned on the corners for easy access.
The swing away arms feature traditional over centre catches that are reliable in dusty conditions, assisted by gas struts for smooth operation. Carriers can be easily removed when not needed, allowing you to run a cleaner setup when you're not touring. The reversing camera and number plate are relocated to one of the spare wheels using a quality relocation kit.
Kaymar
The Kaymar rear bar is a steel replacement bar for the LandCruiser 200, providing rear protection and a strong mounting platform for one or two swing away carriers. Its two piece design gives it a neat, integrated finish around the factory rear bumper area, making it a cleaner looking option while still allowing the spare wheel, jerry can holder, or touring accessories to be carried at the rear.
The bar is manufactured from rolled 4mm steel, zinc coated and powder coated, with integrated LED lights and provision for factory sensors on compatible models. It works with the factory towbar and mud flaps, and improves rear clearance compared with the standard bumper. Carrier options include single or dual spare wheels, jerry can holders, work light and aerial mounts, with over centre catches and gas strut assistance for controlled operation.
Jerry Cans
Originally developed for military use, the Scepter lightweight jerry cans have become a favourite among long distance tourers for good reason. Built from tough HDPE and designed to handle harsh conditions, they’re reliable, easy to manage, and hold up well to the knocks of remote travel. If you’re heading off grid and need a dependable way to carry extra fuel, these cans are a solid, no-nonsense option.
